I thought I make a page dedicated to this, because there are soo many tips I would like to share with young women, in the modeling field and specifically in the adult ent field, where I have proven success.

I will also make a video talking about this.

So you want a membership site, you want to make money off of your pictures and off of your videos. You want to be a camgirl as well and make money from home online. Which can be and is the greatest feelings. People tell you you’re hot, you have alot of sexy pics and you don’t feel shy in front of the camera, and you wouldnt mind making a living from home…so where do you start you may be wondering.

First let me say this, you must have patience, you must be willing to work hard like any job and you must not give up.
Many girls think they build a site this week, and next week tons of dough is rolling in..It doesnt work that easy, and just like anything in life, nothing is easy.

1st thing to do:
Think of name that describes you, something sexy and catchy and unique. This name will be your website name. If your going to do strictly adult and want to stand out more in the adult field, than coming up with your name or something sexy with xxx is a good way to start. Write down several website names that describe you, ask your friends what sound better, get opinions and make a decision. You don’t want to come up with a website name in 5 min, because this is something that should stay with you for as long as you stay online. And you want something people can spell and easily rember.
(Take it from me, misskarisma is the name i use, but I kinda wish I didn’t put that as my website name because of the spelling I always have to spell it out to people and pronounce to people and its not easily remembered the way its spelled. But I learned my lesson and with my next website name kwebcam.com its easy to remember it describes me.)

2nd thing to do
Once you got a website name you than get about 10-15 dollars and go to http://godaddy.com and search the name and see if its available, and if it is you purchased it. Once you got your website name aka domain name you are one big step closer. Now you can direct people to your own spot on the internet.

3rd thing to do

Now you have a domain, you do a lil research for hosting companies and go by your budget, you dont want to get a hosting plan, and than cant afford it one month and your site is down. Hosting is a company that will host your website, give you an amount of space every month to store your files, and give you speed for your site. Every hosting company has pros and cons, its best to google (hosting) and see whats best for you. Godaddy.com also provides hosting, and know that you get what you pay for. If you see hosting for 3.99 a month, you will get what you pay for. But note that since you are just starting out, plans like that are not bad for a start. They will place you on a shared server, which means you and about few hundred people are sharing a space, now the cons to that is if one person has like a lot of stuff running on their site like videos, tons of pictures it can interfere with the speed of your site, because you all are sharing.
So rember that, as you progress, you will see that being on a vps sever or dedicated will be best. Because your site will load faster, and wont crash.

(With me, I started off with shared hosting and I didn’t like it, I use to wonder why so cheap only 5 bucks on month but than when members would be like video isn’t loading or my site is very very slow or its crashing, I learned I had too much power on my site to be on a shared hosting so I went into vps and now dedicated hosting server. I was with tmdhosting.com which is pretty good. and you want a hosting with good tech support and 24/7 so if you have any crashes/issues you can be back running in no time.)

4th thing to do

So you got your domain, you got your hosting, you are about set on that end. Now you need a website designed. Before you design your site or have it design I say write in a notepad how you want it, what you want on your site, colors and how you want it to look. Webdesign isn’t like just putting clothes on matching colors and your out the door, your site represents you and you want it to look its best and especially if you’re trying to make money off of it, your clients notice everything and you want them to feel comfortable to swipe their cards.
A lot of girls go with www.wordpress.com themes, tweak it up by adding pictures and than easily upload. That is a great way to start when I had misskarisma.com back in 2004 WordPress wasn’t the way it is now, with all the features, so I had to webdesign from scratch. If your not webdesign savvy. In your hosting plan they offer wordpress to be installed for free, you can than Google WordPress templates, and tweak it up in photoshop.com or www.paintshoppro.com You can also pay a web designer to get you a site. 5th thing to do
Now that your site is designed. You need content. If your trying to sell photos/videos for members you want to write down how often you will update your site, what kind of videos/pictures you will sell, your monthly pricing for membership. My suggestion is to update your site atleast every two weeks. Customers dont want to feel like they paying for something and not receiving anything. Nonne wants to pay for a site for a month or a week and only get 1 update. You must treat your membership like a job. The more you produce content the more you ll make. You can easily buy a webcam and film videos and edit them in windows movie maker. Webcam filming is great because you dont need no batterys you dont need a memory card and etc, just plug and record. Webcam run fairly cheap nowandays a 5mp webcam will do good.
